'Víðsýni' an Icelandic word for a panoramic view, or, open-mindedness.
Myself and three others spent two weeks exploring across Iceland. Starting in Reykjavik, completing the ring road through the south, east, north, through the west fjords and then into the highlands. Black Label SS17 encapsulates a uniquely British message. Inspired by the psychedelic era of the late ’60’s, the collection features statement pieces symbolic of that time, blended with classic British style references.
'Pretty Green has collaborated with John Smedley to produce a capsule collection of knitwear. Key pieces include a knitted striped shirt and our signature paisley that has been digitally printed onto a soft cotton crew neck jumper. All pieces have been manufactured in Britain and a short brand film has been created to show the craftsmanship that goes into each piece at the John Smedley factory in Derbyshire. John Smedley is renowned throughout the world as a leader in the production of fine gauge knitwear products since 1784. Still family owned, the company continues to innovate while retaining the handcrafted techniques that have established its reputation for more than two centuries'
